YEAR / DURATION

6 months

Construction of the 20 kV Overhead Line

  • Excavation and Site Preparation: Excavation works were carried out for the installation of pole foundations, taking measures to ensure the stability and durability of the structures.
  • Pole Installation: Pre-stressed spun concrete poles were installed, providing high durability and stability for the overhead lines.
  • Conductor Installation: AL-STEEL conductors were laid for electric power transmission, ensuring stable and efficient connections between different network points.
  • Accessory Installation: Insulators, 20 kV three-pole disconnectors, and other protective devices were installed to guarantee the safe operation of the line.

Installation of “BOX”-Type Substations

  • Manufacturing and Transport: The “BOX”-type substations were manufactured in accordance with technical specifications and transported to the installation site.
  • Positioning on Site: The substations were installed on pre-prepared foundations, ensuring proper leveling and anchoring to guarantee structural stability.
  • Internal Equipment Assembly: Inside the substations, line switches, transformer switches, and low-voltage distribution panels were installed, ensuring the necessary electrical and mechanical connections.

Testing and Commissioning

  • Quality Control: Tests were performed to verify the integrity of the installations and to ensure that all components functioned according to project specifications.

Commissioning: After the completion of testing, the system was put into operation and monitored over a defined period to ensure its stable and efficient performance.

Conclusions

The project for the construction of the 20 kV overhead line and substations for the replacement of Feeder 253/1 has been successfully completed, meeting all technical standards and regulatory requirements. The works carried out have significantly improved the electrical network infrastructure in the area served by the OSHEE Regional Directorate of Tirana, ensuring a more stable and higher-quality electricity supply for consumers.
This investment is expected to reduce technical losses and increase the operational efficiency of the network, contributing to better customer service and the sustainable development of the energy infrastructure.
